I believe that means Merry Christmas Eve, or something to that effect.  If it’s wrong let me know and I will fire my translator.  She’s been slacking lately anyhow.  On the Orthodox calendar today is Christmas Eve, which means tomorrow is what?  That’s right.  Easter.  So tonight we are off to church for a rather long service in a stuffy yet beautiful church and then to the hall for some food, a few drinks and a few laughs.  I’m epsecially looking forward to the hot rekija (its plum brandy mixed with water and sugar and boiled, kind of like hot southern sweet tea, with a kick).
