The closest thing that the Chicago Blackhawks have to a Serbian player is Marion Hossa, who is Slovakian. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that it is the same thing though. I recently heard a story from my Kum that a local, and slobbering drunk, bar owner made that mistake and he almost paid with his life. The guy he insulted has many, many guns. So remember Serbian > Slovakia. The Hawks won the Stanley Cup a couple of weeks ago and Chicago has been buzzing ever since given that the Bears are still 2 months away from camp and both the Cubs and Sox are abysmal.
I had the pleasure of going to the victory parade and it was electric! There were tens of thousands of people (the police estimated at 2 million, bit of a stretch) and most of them were well-behaved. When there are that many people in one area there are bound to be one or two that are…..irritable. I was fortunate enough not to meet any of these people. I wasn’t in the mood.
So, for your viewing pleasure I have some footage of these irritable types. They are not representative of Chicago fans, for the most part. Maybe during a Cubs/Sox series, which I was also at. Hat tip for me!
Here is the same fight from a nearby rooftop. The shocked indignation from these people is priceless.
